Question 1

What is 100isthenew50?

Accepted Answer

A public leaderboard for products and X profiles, ranked by one thing: how much each listing has paid. The more you pay, the higher you sit. Everyone can see every number.

Question 2

Why the name?

Accepted Answer

Because "fifty is the new thirty" is what people say to make a bigger number feel fine, and that's exactly what happens here. Every time someone takes a rank, a slightly bigger price becomes the new normal. $100 really is the new $50 on this board, give or take a few days.

Question 3

How is rank decided?

Accepted Answer

By total amount paid, highest first. Ties go to whoever got there first. Nothing else feeds in: no votes, no engagement score, no editors.

Question 4

What does #1 cost right now?

Accepted Answer

$15 on the All-time board, $10 on Today. The number in the claim bar at the top of the home page is always current.

Question 5

What's the difference between All-time, Today and Daily?

Accepted Answer

All-time counts everything a listing has ever paid and never resets. Today counts only what was paid since 00:00 UTC and starts over at midnight. Daily is the archive: one board per UTC day, frozen once the day ends. A single payment shows up on all three.

Question 6

I'm already on the board. How do I move up?

Accepted Answer

Enter the same website or @handle and choose a new total at least $1 higher than your current one. You only pay the difference. Nobody else can pass you by paying just that difference; they need the full amount.

Question 7

What if someone pays more while I'm in checkout?

Accepted Answer

If it's a different listing, you still get a rank, just possibly not the one you aimed for: ranks are assigned when payment is confirmed, so yours slots in wherever your total fits. The exception is two open checkouts for the same listing. The first one paid goes through; the second was priced from a total that no longer exists, so it's held instead of ranked and we refund it. Email us with the Paddle receipt and start a fresh claim from the new total.

Question 8

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

No. A rank here is built to move when other people pay, so a lower spot later is the board doing its job. Paddle is the merchant of record, so any statutory consumer rights in Paddle's buyer terms still apply.

Question 9

What can I list, and what can't I?

Accepted Answer

A product website or an X profile you own or represent. No chat or invite links and no adult content. Tracking parameters are stripped, and short links are swapped for their destination. Full details are in the Rules.

Question 10

Who handles the payment?

Accepted Answer

Paddle. They take the card details, handle tax, and send the receipt. Your bank statement may show Paddle rather than 100isthenew50. We never see your card number.

Question 11

Do ranks expire?

Accepted Answer

All-time ranks don't. Today ranks reset at midnight UTC. Daily boards close at the end of their day and stay in the archive as they were.

Question 12

How do categories work?

Accepted Answer

Every listing picks one category at checkout, and each category has its own All-time and Today board. If your listing is filed in the wrong place, contact us and we'll move it.

Question 13

Is this a joke?

Accepted Answer

The name is. The board isn't. Payments are real, ranks are public, and clicks go straight to your site.

Question 14

How do I report a listing or get in touch?

Accepted Answer

Email hello@100isthenew50.com. That works for wrong categories, rule violations, and privacy requests.
