Privacy
Last updated October 7, 2026.
This policy explains what 100isthenew50.com collects and why. The operator responsible is listed on the Contact page. We collect as little as the site needs to work.
Listings
When you claim a rank, we store the website address or X handle you entered, the category you picked, and the public name, description and icon we fetch from that address or profile. This is published on the board on purpose. Listing records and their payment history are kept for as long as the site runs and for accounting, even if a listing is hidden.
Payments
Payments are handled by Paddle.com as merchant of record. Paddle collects your card or payment details, billing address, email and tax information under its own privacy notice. We receive the transaction reference, amount, currency and status, which we keep for accounting. We never see your full card number.
Accounts (optional)
You can claim and pay without an account. If you sign in with Google, GitHub or X, we receive and store the name, profile picture, email address (when the provider shares one) and account identifier that provider gives us, plus the sessions you create: when they started, the IP address and the browser they came from. We use this only to show you the claims you paid for. We never post anything on your behalf, and we don't use the access tokens the provider issues (they are stored encrypted).
- Signing in sets first-party, HTTP-only session cookies for up to 30 days, plus one readable cookie that remembers which provider you used last so the sign-in dialog can mark it. Signing out removes the session.
- When you pay while signed out, your browser keeps a random one-time code in its local storage for up to 30 days, so you can sign in afterwards and attach that payment to your account. It never leaves your browser except to make that link.
- Write to us to delete your account. Your listings and their payment records stay, as described above.
Visitor cookie and counters
- We set one first-party, HTTP-only cookie containing a random identifier. It lasts about a year. We use it to count visitors, to show how many people are on the site, to avoid counting the same person's click twice, and to connect a checkout to the browser that started it.
- When you click a listing, we record the listing, the time, the cookie identifier and a keyed hash of your IP address. The hash is used to stop click flooding and to count one click per network per day; the raw IP address is not stored.
- Your light or dark theme choice is stored in your browser's local storage and never sent to us.
- We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking scripts.
Newsletter
The digest is not sending yet. If you sign up, we store your email address, the frequency and category you chose, and the time you gave consent. Before the first digest we will email you once to confirm; if you don't confirm, we delete the address. Every digest will carry an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops further emails.
Service providers
- Paddle (payments, tax and receipts).
- Google, GitHub and X, only if you choose to sign in with them (their own privacy policies apply to that step).
- Our database and hosting providers, which store the data above on our behalf.
- When a listing is created, our servers fetch the listed page or profile picture to read its title, description and icon. That request comes from our servers, not from your browser.
- Listing icons are loaded by your browser straight from where they are hosted: the listed site itself, Google's favicon service (www.google.com) or unavatar.io for X profile pictures. Like any embedded image, that request shows those hosts your IP address and browser details. Their own privacy policies apply to it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to a data protection authority. Write to hello@100isthenew50.com and we will answer within 30 days. Requests about payment data may need to go to Paddle as well.

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
